Town of Highlands Receiver of Taxes

Tax Collection Mission: To receive property tax payments for town government as well as special districts, town and county and school; to distribute tax revenues to these agencies, and to provide accurate and courteous answers to questions about tax payments.   All powers and duties of the office, as well as collection procedures are statutory and defined in the NYS Real Property Tax Law.

School Tax Collection begins September 1st, 2024.

September Hours:

Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 10:00am-3:00pm

 

You can pay your bill online, via mail, or deposit box at: 254 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY 10928.

 

NO PERSONAL CHECKS AFTER OCTOBER 15th.

From the last collection date (November 4th), payments will be accepted by the Commissioner of Finance, to be made payable to “Commissioner of Finance” through November 15th. Personal checks will not be accepted. Any remaining unpaid taxes are relevied on January 2025 Tax Bill.
