Town of Highlands Ambulance Corps

The Town of Highlands Ambulance Corps answers approximately 800 calls for assistance each year and is a combination of both 25 volunteers and 10 paid staff. It operates two Basic Life Support Ambulances and one First Response/Command Vehicle (Fly Car). They are licensed by the New York State Department of Health. The Ambulance Corps is a licensed American Safety and Health Institute Training Center that conducts CPR and First Aid training to several organizations and for the public. ALL THAC vehicles are defibrillator equipped and carry several life saving medications. All Emergency Medical Techs are NY State Certified.

We have provided emergency medical coverage for over 60 years, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the residents and/or visitors of our town. The Town of Highlands Ambulance Corps has "Mutual Aid Agreements" with several other EMS services and with Orange County in case of a Mass Casualty Incident and for Advanced Life Support. Town of Highlands Ambulance Corps prides itself on being highly trained and motivated so they can provide the best care to the sick and/or injured.
